The Rock vs John Cena

Last year, The Rock vs John Cena was booked for WrestleMania 28 and the time is almost here. It's put up or shut up for The Rock and John Cena. This match has aroused so much attention among Twitter and other social networks. Fans have taken sides in this as it's the fans of the Attitude Era vs the fans of the PG Era. Never has a WrestleMania Main Event match had this much attention, this much hype since Stone Cold vs The Rock for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania X-7.

But this feud stems upon REAL issues between The Rock and John Cena outside the ropes.

John Cena has problems with The Rock because he left for 7 years without even so much as a visit from The Great One. He would go so far as to say that Rock doesn't care about the business, only cares about himself, and is taking away spots from the guys in the back busting their ass. While Rock was off making movies, Cena was in the ring night in-night out, carrying the company ever since The Rock departed.

This begs the question.....Who is right and who is wrong?

Here's my two cents on John Cena and why he's WRONG.

Let me start by saying that I have respect for John Cena. I respect him being the man for all this time and carrying the company. I actually like the guy, but he's completely misunderstood on this.

The Rock cares about the business a lot more than John Cena thinks. If not, then why is he back? The movies he makes pay him more money than Vince McMahon does. If it hadn't been for people like The Rock, John Cena wouldn't be in the position he's in right now. I think John Cena is just a tad bit jealous that Rock has gone on to be successful in something other than wrestling. Before Cena showed up in the WWE, Rock was in the ring, night in-night out carrying the company just like how Cena is doing now. The Rock left and made movies for a couple reasons:

1) He wanted to spend more time with his family. As a WWE Superstar, you're virtually never at Home and that can really have an effect on family relations in my opinion.

2) He didn't want to wear down his body even more. He got out when he had the chance unlike Hogan and Flair who don't know when to call it quits and are tainting their legacy with each passing second.

3) He wanted to see if he could make it in movies on his own merits. This is why he started going by Dwayne Johnson and not The Rock. Once he found out he could, he did.

The Rock has done so much for this business that most of the new fans of today couldn't even fathom. Speaking as a 90's baby, I was there for the Attitude Era and Rock's rise to stardom and The Rock is being falsely vilified by a lot of fans.

Also, if Cena claims The Rock is taking spots from guys in the back, then why does he want him back so much? Sounds like a contradiction in and of itself.
