We talked about the Denver Broncos signing Peyton Manning, but we wouldn't be doing our job if we didn't talk about Tim Tebow joining The New York Jets.
Now, the deal isn't official until tomorrow, but Tim Tebow is a New York Jet and it's easy to say that Mark Sanchez starting job is at stake, because it is.
Let's be honest, Mark Sanchez hasn't exactly been stellar since he started in the NFL a couple seasons ago. He has 2 AFC Championship games under his belt, but he's had the blanket of a good running game and even better defense to back him up.
Last season, look what Tebow did and look what Sanchez did. Sanchez missed the playoffs and Tebow led his team to a division title and first round win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. TebowMania was running wild in Denver and it WILL run wild in New York City.
New York fans are extremely fickle and will turn on a QB at the drop of a hat. Knowing what Tebow can do, it's only going to take ONE slip up from Sanchez before the fans start clamoring for Tebow just like Denver did. The Denver fans ran Kyle Orton out of town, and it's inevitable that the same will happen to Mark Sanchez. Sanchez signed a new deal, so he won't be going anywhere, but mark my words, one bad game from Sanchez and the fans will ask for his head and for Tebow to take over.
And when, not if, Tebow takes over the starting job as The New York Jets Quarterback......watch out.
